On this page you will find audition information for ALL of our ADULT and YOUTH AUDITIONS. No other company in Southern California stages more shows per year than us: 12 to 15 youth shows and 7 to 10 adult shows. Not only do we stage shows in THE BROADWAY and OFF BROADWAY THEATERS’ we also use other local venues such as the 382 seat Avo Playhouse and the Lawrence Welk Resort stage in Escondido. All AUDITION NOTICES below will list where the production is being performed as well as playing dates, and all other pertinent information to help you through the audition process. |

AUDITION INFORMATION FOR: I TAKE THIS MAN TRYING PETER PAN ADULT AUDITION: I Take this man Directed by Randall Hickman The Boston Marathon has just ended when love lorn, Gideon Hollis, spots an unconscious runner lying in the street. she reasons that since nice guys finish last, this must be Mr. Right! After the man revives and cannot remember who he is, Gideon tells him that they are married. But when her perfect plan starts to fall apart, hilarity ensues! Doors slam, identities are mistaken and everything works out in the end.

PLAYING DATES:
PAY SCALE: $120 a week for four weeks. $480.00 for the run.
ADDITIONAL AUDITION INFORMATION: All actors need to bring a current resume, and a current photo. You will also be required to bring a calendar so you can check your conflicts with the rehearsal schedule.
Rehearsals start directly following the auditions. We DO NOT take audition appointments - show up and audition anytime between the hours listed above.
You will be required to bring a one-minute comedic monologue to the audition. You will also be asked to read from the script at the audition.

ADDITIONAL AUDITION INFORMATION: For all of our KID SHOWS we require the actor to bring Mom or Dad, a current resume, and a current photo. If you haven’t auditioned in a quite a while, (or if this is your first time), we understand that you may not have a resume. No worries, you can fill out the AUDITION FORM and list all of your information on that.
THIS SHOW IS A MUSICAL Since this show is a MUSICAL you will be required to bring a one-minute song to the audition. ANY SONG IS FINE. If the song is longer than a minute, don’t panic. . .We just stop the auditioner when one minute is up. We DO NOT provide an accompanist but we do provide a C.D. and TAPE player. It’s OKAY to sing WITHOUT a C.D. or tape, especially if your child is brand new to the audition process.
FEES, TICKET SALES, and PARENT VOLUNTEERS If your child is cast in the production a cast fee of $100.00 is due at the first meeting following the auditions. There is no charge to cast members over the age of 18 years. The cast fee covers their insurance while they are with us; costume rental and cleaning; cast party and FREE cast photo of the cast. We have two paying options – You can pay the FULL fee and sell 10 tickets to the show OR you can pay a $50.00 participation fee and agree to sell 20 tickets to the show. Your child may sell as many as they want, but, they must sell the required 10 or 20 tickets. Some adult roles will receive gas stipends.
We DO NOT require parents to volunteer ANY of their time. We know how busy Mom and Dad are.
Callback information is very often held the same night of the audition, however, checking at the INFORMATION table when you arrive is always the best thing to do. The auditioner, or the auditioner's parent, must bring a calendar so they can list all of their conflicts between auditions and closing night on the audition form.

We are so excited to bring Randall Hickman’s adaptation of the ‘Boy who wouldn’t grow up’ to the Avo Playhouse stage this June. We are hoping to have an ADULT / YOUTH cast and all YOUTH CAST.
The ADULT / YOUTH cast will have adults playing, Pirates, Hook, Smee, The Chief, His Wife, Mrs. Darling and Liza the Maid. All other youth roles in the adult cast, (Indians, lost boys, Michael, John, Peter and Wendy will be youth players. Youth cast: All kids & Teens
